PLATES AND CARDS
A solid plate, used as support, is specifically designed for applications where the bar code is exposed to a harsh environment.
Plastic Plates
Some plastic materials can be marked using a laser, giving a permanent image. With nothing stuck on the surface, these plates meet exceeding high standards of hygiene.
Steel Plates
Plates made of stainless steel are especially suitable for applications with very high temperatures and / or aggressive chemicals. The bar code can either be in the form of a thermally fixed ceramic layer or by laser marking directly onto the surface.
Aluminum plates
Aluminum plates with bar codes are frequently used in applications with high temperatures and / or non-alkaline chemicals. Black anodized aluminum is marked by laser engraving. The resulting high contrast and good edge definition ensure excellent scanning rates.
Very good results can also be achieved by fusing a special ink onto the surface of aluminum with the laser beam.
Photographic Process
Here the information is embedded in the top layer of the anodized aluminum. The image is positive black on an aluminum colored background. On request, the surface can be coated with Teflon. After painting, the paint on the bar code plate can easily be removed.
Ceramic Plates
Ceramic plates with fired-on or laser engraved bar codes withstand extremely high temperatures and are resistant to chemical attacks. With a protective frame they can also be used in a rough environment, even if the material itself is brittle.
Identity Cards
Credit card sized identity cards with a bar code are used to identify readers in a library and users of other public services.
There are no limits to the graphic design of the cards. Feel free to be inspired. We will be pleased to assist you in the realization of your ideas.
The front is usually taken up by a multicolored design, whereas the bar code, possibly a signature panel and other important information are placed on the back.
